Our friends at the Deer Vehicle Collision Project have been in touch to pass along this very important message:

With shorter days drawing in, rush-hour traffic periods coincide once more with dawn and dusk when deer also tend to be at their most active, giving rise to an annual peak in deer vehicle collisions from October through to January.

While most of you will already be well aware of the risks associated with DVCs, if you do have opportunity to circulate the web-link below (which provides a short video-clip showing the reality of deer crossing roads and tips on how to reduce risk of collisions)  to any friends and colleagues, this would be much appreciated and help to raise awareness of the issue.
